In WorldGuessr, every game begins by dropping players into a random location on Google Maps. From there, players can click and drag the screen to look around and explore the environment. By clicking black arrows on the road, players can move through streets, highways, villages, or cities to gather clues about their location. Since movement is limited to roads, players must carefully investigate nearby landmarks, coastlines, vegetation, languages, road signs, and architectural styles to determine where they are in the world. Once players believe they know the location, they can use the interactive map in the bottom-right corner of the screen to place their guess. The closer the guess is to the actual location, the more points are awarded.
