Trees Hate You
The gameplay of Trees Hate You
Welcome to Trees Hate You, which is a funny adventure game with engaging gameplay. Try to dodge dangerous trees, go through checkpoints, and reach the highway.
Attacking and Obstructing Trees
In this game, you take on the role of helping a boy escape a dangerous forest. The forest is filled with threatening trees, and each type of danger requires you to think and react quickly. From the moment the game begins, it becomes clear that survival depends not only on running forward but also on understanding the environment and responding to different hazards. One of the most important challenges in the game is avoiding the trees that actively attack or interfere with your movement. Some trees can shoot projectiles, turning open areas into dangerous zones where standing still is risky. Other trees chase you and try to hit you directly, which forces you to keep moving and maintain distance. In addition, certain trees can break or fall, creating obstacles that may suddenly block the way or change the layout of the path. Some trees even rush at you, reducing the time available to react. There are also trees that block paths, meaning you cannot simply rush forward without paying attention to what is blocking your route. Because of all these threats, you must stay away from dangerous trees, run quickly, and move carefully to evade attacks.
Dangers in Tunnels
The game also introduces a second major danger in the form of tunnels. These tunnels contain spiky traps, and entering them carelessly can immediately lead to harm. If you are hit by spikes, the boy slows down. This is a particularly dangerous effect because slower movement makes it easier for the trees to catch up or attack. As a result, the tunnels are not only obstacles, but also strategic areas where timing and careful movement matter. The player must balance speed with caution, knowing that even a short mistake can lead to losing control of the situation.
Treasure Chest
Another interesting part of the game is the treasure chest, which contains a hat. This item adds a reward element and gives you a goal beyond simply escaping. However, the game reminds you that rewards can also come with danger. There is a moment where a tree can steal the hat, meaning that collecting treasure does not guarantee safety. The hat becomes something you must protect while still focusing on survival.
Checkpoints and destiny
Throughout the forest, checkpoints are placed at many locations. These checkpoints are important because they prevent you from being endlessly punished for mistakes. If the boy is shot or hit by the trees, you do not restart the entire game. Instead, the boy returns to the nearby checkpoint. This system helps you learn from errors and improves the game’s fairness. It encourages persistence because even after failure, you have a clear chance to correct your strategy and continue the escape. Ultimately, the goal is to help the boy reach the highway safely.
How to control: Use the arrow keys to control the boy to run around the forest.
The ending of Trees Hate You
The game does not end with a simple victory. In the end, the boy is crushed by a truck. After this unexpected and tragic moment, the story shifts to a supernatural scene: you go into heaven, where there are endless steps. The boy tries to run up the steps, but then a giant tree appears and pushes him off. He falls into an infinite space, suggesting that the danger is not only physical, but also symbolic, perhaps representing fate, endless struggle, or repeated obstacles beyond normal life.
